§    97-13.    Depositing materials in streets unlawful.

A.    It shall be unlawful for any person while plowing, cultivating, constructing or working the ground in any manner, either by motor-driven or -drawn vehicle or otherwise, to deposit ground, mud or any other material upon the hard or paved surface of any highway, road or street in the Township.
 
B.    No person shall throw or deposit upon any highway, road or street any wastepaper, sweepings, ashes, household waste, glass, metal, refuse or rubbish or any dangerous or detrimental substance.
 
C.    Any person who drops, drags, throws or permits to be dropped, dragged or thrown upon any highway any ground, mud, wastepaper, sweepings, ashes, household waste, glass, metal, refuse or rubbish or any other dangerous or detrimental substance shall immediately remove the same or cause it to be removed.

D.    Any person removing a wrecked, damaged or disabled vehicle from a highway, road or street shall remove or neutralize any glass, oil or other injurious substance resulting from the accident or disablement.
 
E.    It shall be unlawful for any person while plowing, shoveling or blowing snow to place, push or throw any snow, ice or debris upon any street or highway within North Londonderry Township.  This subsection shall not apply to North Londonderry Township, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation highway personnel and equipment or any subcontractor employed or authorized by either of the above.  [Added 4-12-1994 by Ord. F.    It shall be unlawful for any person to place any material on the paved surface of any road or street in the Township which may be considered a traffic hazard.  Such items may include, but not be limited to; temporary dumpsters, landscape mulch, decorative stone, topsoil, and building materials such as stone, lumber, block, or bricks.  [Added 10-20-2003 by Ord. G.    Any person who violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to a fine not to exceed six hundred dollars ($600) and costs of prosecution.  [Amended 9-13-1988 by Ord. No. 74]
